Freight

Definition

The word Freight is used with two meanings

1. goods carried in bulk by truck, train, ship, or aircraft.
2. money paid for transporting the goods

The most common use is to define, in Shipping Quotes, the main transport.

Example:

You need to ship by ship one cargo from Hong Kong to Buenos Aires (Argentina).

• Freight is the cost for transporting the cargo from origin port (Hong Kong) to destination port (Buenos Aires). 
• Other expences are not included like Export Customs Clearance, Port Expences.....
